What We Collect

We collect the minimum needed to run the app:

• Account email — to log you in and send claim-watch alerts.
• Saved spots and finds — locations and notes you save, visible only to you.
• Saved and watched claims — used to send alerts when claim status changes.
• Rock ID / Outcrop Mapper photos — sent to Anthropic's API for analysis. We don't store your photos.
• Map viewport — where the map is positioned, to show relevant data and remember your last location.
• Device and browser info — browser type, approximate location, screen size. Used for bug diagnosis only.

How We Use It

Your data has one job: making the app work for you. We use it to keep you logged in, store your saved data, send claim alerts, and process AI tool requests. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads.

Cookies and Analytics

Auth cookies (Supabase) keep you logged in — required for the app to work. We also use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-first tool that sets no cookies and collects no personal information, only aggregate usage counts.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

• Request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of analytics by enabling Do Not Track in your browser
• Receive your data in a portable format (CSV / JSON) on request

Data Retention

Your data is kept while your account is active. Delete your account and we remove your personal information within 30 days. AI photos are never stored — they're sent to Anthropic and discarded.
